Anne Simpson

Anne Simpson’s most recent book, six essays on poetry and art, is The Marram Grass: Poetry and Otherness. She has published three poetry books: of these, Loop was awarded the Griffin Poetry Prize in 2004. Her second novel, Falling, was awarded the Dartmouth Fiction Award and longlisted for the IMPAC Dublin Literary Award. She has been Writer-in-Residence at the University of New Brunswick, the Medical Humanities Program at Dalhousie University, the Saskatoon Public Library, and the University of Prince Edward Island. She lives in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, where she teaches part-time at St. Francis Xavier University.
